2 of our long time members passed away recently.
June 30th 2010 Olan Atherton died just 19 days before his 93rd birthday. The following link gives some of the obituary and a younger picture of Olan. http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/heralddemocrat/obituary-preview.aspx?n=olan-moody-atherton&pid=143869718&referrer=2344
From my own experience with Olan I found him to have a sharp mind, wonderful sense of humor and generally upbeat even when he was battling with cancer. He had been South Central Regional VP in the past and Chapter President and no doubt other offices. He volunteered the use of his music store in Sherman over the years. I can't think of any negative attribute; its all positive with him. Fred
Lawrence Goetsch died July 26th, 2010

Olan and Lawrence were long time friends. Lawrence taught at Grayson County College and a college for the blind before that. Being blind did not slow him down in his accomplishments as a piano technician.
