Pianotech Meeting

This years face-to-face meeting for Pianotech members was rather small. Maybe we have talked with each other enough online that we are ready to talk to other people in person. Also lunch time was tight and we needed to go across the street to outside restaurants to get food prices in the realm of reality.

Barbershop Chorus

The traditional Barbershop chorus lead by Larry Crabb presented a stunning program before the Yamaha party. We count on this time of music and bad jokes as part of our yearly tradition.

Yamaha Party

And, of course, the Yamaha party. The A-440 Millenium Swing Band was sounding wonderful. Dean Garten the organizers and director gave us great evening of music. And thanks to Yamaha for providing this party and food and drinks. LaRoy and I were remembering back to the Yamaha party in Indianapolis in 1984 where it was in their suite and we were worried about loosing a couple of drunks over the atrium balcony. All of our corporate sponsorship of the convention is greatly appreciated and makes the convention possible.

Special Thanks

Clint & Sandy

I enjoyed the chance to meet our new Journal Editor, Clint Sears. We have talked many times on the phone but had never met. Pretty much all of the pictures in this blog are from his amazing camera. He put up with my nagging him to access his computer to get them. This may be the only picture of him among the mountains of photos from the convention. And, of course, our convention director, Sandy Roady took care of so many details. The rest of the Home Office staff did a fabulous job as well but they are a little camera shy or were sequestered in meetings.
